I had a great stay at Abigail's hostel in Dublin. The location is unbeatable, right next to the river and a short walk to the city center and nightlife. The hostel was clean and the staff provided fantastic recommendations. However, the noise from the street made it tricky to sleep, especially with the bathroom situation in the dorms. Overall, it was a solid choice for a budget traveler looking to explore the city.

I stayed in a 6-bed female dorm which was clean and included an ensuite bathroom. Each bunk had a built-in light and charging station, which was super convenient.

My stay at Abigails was quite disappointing. While the location was great, being near many attractions, the cleanliness and service left much to be desired. I felt welcomed by only a few of the staff members, leading to several unpleasant encounters. Though the room had some space, the overall hygiene was lacking. Breakfast options also fell short, especially for dietary restrictions. Noise was a significant issue that disrupted my sleep, making it hard to enjoy the stay overall.
Rooms
5.0
The room was fairly spacious, but it was not clean, with unmade beds and signs of the previous guests.
Service

Service was particularly poor; some staff were rude and unhelpful, and I felt unsupported during a troubling encounter.

Breakfast was lacking, especially for those with dairy restrictions. There weren't many options that catered to vegans.

Shared facilities were worn down and not a great place to socialize, which is usually a key part of staying at a hostel.

I had a great experience staying at this hostel. It's located just a short walk from many attractions and even has a bus stop right out front, which is super convenient. The staff were fun and attentive, and the daily room cleaning was much appreciated. However, the breakfast could be improved and the bathroom fixtures are showing their age, although they still functioned well.

The location was spot on, just a stone’s throw from many attractions and right by a bus stop for when we wanted to venture further.
Dining

While the breakfast was decent, I would hope for a bit more variety on the menu.
Facilities

The hostel offered a free kitchen, which was a nice touch, but some fixtures definitely need a bit of TLC.

I had a mixed experience at this hostel. The location was fantastic, but I faced some serious issues with cleanliness and service. While one staff member was helpful, another was quite rude, which made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. The rooms were okay in size but not well-kept, and the noise levels were unbearable at night. Breakfast options were lacking, especially for those with dietary restrictions, which was frustrating.

Overall, my experience at the hostel was a mixed bag. The location is fantastic, being right by the River Liffey and near Temple Bar, which is great for nightlife. However, my stay was marred by noise from other guests, and the cleanliness was not up to par. The room setup was decent with good amenities, but I was expecting more for the price.
